Chef Placements
Creating delicious, wholesome meals that meet nutritional guidelines and strict budgets is challenging — especially when many institutional foodservice programs do not have the resources, culinary expertise, or support they need to succeed.
Our chefs bring a wealth of experience in professional kitchens which they use to help programs build the capacity of their staff, improve meal quality and consistency, expand menu options, increase diner satisfaction, and streamline operations.
How We Help
Our chefs provide on-the-ground training and tailored solutions focused on:
Food Safety and Sanitation
Recipe/Menu Development
Staff Training and Skill Building
Kitchen Organization
How We Work
We are partners in your program’s unique journey. That’s why we take time to understand your individual needs and goals so we can find solutions that work for you.
Initial Survey
We ask you to fill out an initial survey to help us better understand your program's needs and goals. A member of our team will then be in touch shortly. Complete the survey.
Program Assessment
We conduct an on-the-ground operational evaluation, identify equipment needs in your kitchen(s), and meet with your leadership team. At the end, we provide a program assessment report.
Strategic Plan
Based on the key findings of our assessment, we work together to devise a strategic plan for our partnership.
Chef Placement and HQ Support
We pair your program with a dedicated program chef or team of chefs, depending on your needs. Working solely with your team on a full-time and year-round basis, the program chef(s) will serve as a long-term fixture(s) in your program. They will provide on-the-ground staff training, lead recipe development and menu planning, implement safety and sanitation protocols, and streamline operational processes to ensure your program is set up for success.
Additionally, our HQ team will provide remote support on matters like recipe audits and rewrites, labor model structures, and hiring process updates.
How Long Do Chef Placements Last?
It takes time to help institutions make sustainable impact on their foodservice programs. In our work, we’ve found that partnerships lasting three years or longer generally experience the most significant and robust changes. However, because all programs are unique, we’re open to varying durations, so long as they are at least one year.
